As a remarkable initiative by Hyatt, Women@Hyatt Indonesia has been creating a buzz about women’s development for Hyatt hotels’ women colleagues. The journey began at Alila SCBD Jakarta in 2023 and continued at Park Hyatt Jakarta in 2024. This year, the Women@Hyatt Indonesia Chapter is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025 with a special event at Alila Seminyak, focusing on the theme “Pioneering Change through Communities”, alongside with hashtag of #AccelerateAction as amplified by International Women’s Day for this year. This event aims to emphasise the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality, calling for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face in both personal and professional spheres.

The event takes place on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 3 to 5 PM at Alila Seminyak. It brings everyone together from Hyatt Hotels across Bali, with hybrid online participation from Hyatt in Jakarta, Solo, Yogyakarta, and Makassar. This gathering is expected to host about 50 participants, creating a vibrant and supportive community of women dedicated to accelerating action towards gender equality.

The afternoon will begin with a guided meditation, setting a serene and reflective energy of all participants. Following this, a panel discussion hosted by Christiane Ferger, the General Manager of Alila Seminyak, will feature three distinguished panellists who have made significant contributions to their respective fields and have been champions of women’s empowerment.

Christiane expressed her excitement for the event, “We are thrilled to host International Women’s Day gathering at Alila Seminyak. It is an honour to bring together such inspiring women who are dedicated to pioneering and fostering a supportive inclusive community toward #AccelerateAction.”

First panellist is Wayan Wirati, or usually called Ibu Wirati, a seasoned wellness director and Tai Chi master, will share her journey from the corporate world to becoming a wellness instructor. Driven by a passion for holistic well-being, Wirati helps others find balance through mindful practices such as Tai Chi, yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Her approach emphasises the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit for a harmonious life. As Alila Seminyak’s esteemed master, she leads serene morning Tai Chi sessions that awaken both body and mind through mindful movements. She believes in lifting others up and creating opportunities for women to thrive in male-dominated industries.

By coming together and sharing our experiences, we can accelerate action towards gender equality and inspire future generations of women leaders.”

This event will also include a coffee break with snacks at the end of the event, providing an opportunity for participants to network and share their experiences. Women@Hyatt Indonesia also believes that our world is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where differences are valued and celebrated. Together, we can forge women’s equality.
