Marine Safari Bali Presented ‘Exploring Coral Reefs’ – A Talk Show to Inspire Marine Enthusiasts
Marine Safari Bali hosted an exclusive talk show, “Exploring Coral Reefs: Dive into the Colourful World of Underwater”, bringing together leading marine conservation enthusiast, researchers, and educators to discuss the beauty and challenges of coral reef ecosystems. The event held on Friday, 14th March 2025 at Marine Safari Bali in Gianyar, provided valuable educational approaches into sustainable marine practices and ocean preservation efforts.
The engaging discussion featured distinguished speakers at the forefront of marine conservation. Started with Herni Frilia Hastutie, Education and Outreach Coordinator of the Coral Triangle Center, highlighted the importance of marine education and how public awareness is crucial to preserving biodiversity in the Coral Triangle. Pariama Hutasoit, Chairwoman of Bali Blue Harmony, spoke about the role of local communities in coral reef conservation and how collaborative efforts are restoring Bali’s fragile marine ecosystems. Ryannyka Dwi Astuti, Research and Education Manager of Yayasan LINI, shared insights on sustainable fisheries management and the science behind coral rehabilitation. Continued with Kenneth Kwang, Senior Curator of Marine Safari Bali, that provided insights into the role of public aquariums in marine conservation and how Marine Safari Bali bridges the gap between education and preservation. Closed with the sharing session by Samuel Liu, Operations Manager of Marine Safari Bali, addressed the intersection of tourism and conservation, emphasizing the park’s commitment to responsible marine tourism.
