As part of the final preparations, Sudamala Resort, Ubud held its Melaspas Ceremony on 29 July 2026. Deeply rooted in Balinese Hindu tradition, this sacred ceremony symbolizes the property’s purification and blessing before welcoming its first guests. More than a traditional ritual, Melaspas reflects Sudamala Resorts’ respect for Bali’s living culture and its commitment to preserving and celebrating local traditions.

“Opening a new resort is not only about welcoming guests, but also about becoming part of the community and embracing the cultural values that make Ubud so special. The Melaspas Ceremony marks an important milestone in Sudamala Resort, Ubud’s journey. We hope the resort begins its journey with gratitude, harmony, and positive energy,” said I Wayan Suwastana, Commercial Director of Sudamala Resorts.

Located just five minutes from the iconic Puri Saren Agung (Ubud Palace), Sudamala Resort, Ubud offers easy access to temples, art galleries, museums, artisan villages, and the terraced rice fields that define Ubud’s cultural landscape.
