There is perhaps no more opportune time than Sundays to embrace a sense of ease and relaxation. There is no need to harbour any guilt for indulging in a bit of laziness, allowing oneself to sleep in. However, it would be a pity to let Sunday slip away without seizing the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities, particularly as it presents an ideal occasion to reward oneself and express gratitude for the dedication and hard work invested throughout the preceding week. What better way to spend your Sunday than at Estate’s Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch at Hilton Singapore Orchard.

Nestled in Orchard Road, inside the Hilton Orchard Singapore on Level 5, Estate has a welcoming space that will tempt your senses with its beautiful stylistic layout and a roomy interior in mitigating tones with a residential vibe. Inspired by a fictional colonial residence on Old Orchard Road, Estate seamlessly blends historical heritage with modern influences while exuding a warm and inviting ambience. You will be cooled off by the sound of a busy street while admiring the glistening tableware atop the pristine linen.

The venue brings people together over fabulous food from around the world, as well as family-friendly entertainment. The menu offers a generous spread of hot and cold dishes, plus an entire dessert station of irresistible sweet treats. As you enter the venue, you will be welcomed by elegant colonnades with black-and-white marble walkways that lead to various dining rooms and residential-style open kitchens that are central to the Estate’s dining experience.

From the seafood section, you can feast on a wider selection of the ocean’s freshest catch, such as Maine lobsters and snow crabs before heading to the Live Oyster Bar to enjoy freshly shucked Canadian, Irish, and Fine de Claire oysters. In the Cheese Station, you can choose from 32 types of artisanal and seasonal premium cheeses in one of the city’s largest selections in a buffet. The impressive collection of cheeses includes Morbier, Saint-Nectaire AOP Fermier, 16-month aged Comté, Roquefort and Brie de Meaux.

While you stack up your plate with your favourite treats, your little ones can play in the dedicated Kids’ corner with their new child-friendly activities, available only during the Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch at Estate from 12pm to 3pm. The little tots can enjoy art activities such as colouring and canvas painting, a variety of board games, Singapore’s classic childhood games, and a roving magician. This safe environment gives parents a well-deserved break.

Moving on to the brunch treat, I started with a warm bowl of Homemade Orecchiette, complete with locally grown mushrooms, Cèpe sauce and white truffle oil. Immaculate in all viewpoints, they’re delicate, delicious and fragrant. Since I’m also a meat lover, I of course wandered to the Homemade Sausage and Shawarma Stations and relished savoury sausages such as the Sakura Chicken, Pork with Herbs and Spices, and Beef Chorizo. The meat was carefully and meticulously prepared to give you that incredibly delightful taste and crunch. The smell teased my taste buds before I closed my eyes and nibbled into that very fulfilling, tremendously anticipated first chomp. You can relish the taste, succulent delicacy, flavours and burst of freshness from the fixings.

Next up, I waltzed to the Live Oyster Bar to enjoy freshly shucked Canadian, Irish, and Fine de Claire oysters. They were simply ravishing! Delicately mixed, they didn’t require any plunging sauce. Another diamond! The surface and taste blend was heavenly. Pardon me while I wipe the dribble far from my mouth as I recall the moment. This dish was incredible!

Finally, the Whole Wagyu Prime Rib with Yorkshire pudding, bordelaise sauce, and mustard – succulent and consummately cooked medium-uncommon lumps of Wagyu; a fat, somewhat salted foie grass chunk, this was the piece de resistance. It certainly took my breath away. On the off chance that you go to Estate, which you ought to: Try!

Hand on heart; this elevated brunch experience at Estate was one of the best eating encounters I have had in Singapore. The fixings are crisp and the dishes consummately executed, as well as the delightful setting and astounding administration that will bring your culinary journey with your family to a whole new level of satisfaction. Estate’s Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch has instantly bounced to the top of my rundown of must-attempt eateries.

Enough said, Vivere per Mangiare! Indeed, we live to eat!
