However, the holidays should also be enjoyable and relaxing for the parents. Therefore, we have listed the best Kid’s playground around Asia for your next family holiday.

Bali is considered as one of the very best kid-friendly destinations in the world. There are heaps of places where kids can explore and spark their imaginations. For parents, planning a vacation with the kids can sometimes be a stressful ordeal.

Karma Kandara

This resort is a top pick for fab family lodging and other vacay shenanigans in Bali. Worry not if you are not a guess staying here as you can still have access to their facilities. You can either book a spa at Karma Spa or dine at di Mare, your kids can have a blast at the resort’s Three Monkey’s Kids Club where they can find plenty of interesting toys and activities to spend their time creatively and funnily. This fairy-tale land is created to offer the little ones a stunning, safe and friendly playground.

Kids can also participate in Balinese cooking classes and play first hand at local villages (depending on the resort’s schedule). Alternatively, go straight to the Karma Beach and spend time at Le Club 22. While you enjoy some delectable canapes, cocktails and live music, your kiddos can play at the beach with some attractive beach activities.

Waterbom Bali

Let’s experience world-class slides, nestled within a botanical, tropical landscape in the heart of Kuta. First opened on the island of Bali in 1993, Waterbom Bali is more than just a water park. Beyond Waterbom Bali’s world-class slides and attractions, lies a carefully landscaped sanctuary of gardens and water systems proudly representing the beauty of Bali. To this day, Waterbom maintains more than 50% of the park as green space including a number of endangered native species.

Encompassing 3.8 hectares including private gazebo areas, expansive lawns and multiple restaurants, Waterbom provides a unique and memorable experience for all guests. Waterbom Bali provides the perfect combination of thrill and chill for guests, with 22 slides built and maintained to international safety standards throughout the park.

From thrill seekers daring to take on Asia’s steepest slide, ‘The Climax’, to families enjoying the ‘Funtastic’ kiddy area or those wanting to relax and float the day away on the ‘Lazy River’, there is something for everyone.

Bali Wake Park & Aqualand

If you’re always worried that your kids will get hurt when falling off from the playground, you’ll be glad to know about this inflatable park in the middle of water. In fact, this is one of Asia’s largest aquatic parks and this is where you get to enjoy an exciting floating obstacle course. The activity is open to kids above 6 years old. Simply run around the water park and see who can make it without tumbling into the water! For older ones, you can give a try to their wake park mounted with an overhead cable system which enables you to excitingly glide across the water surface!

With a year-round of sunshine, you best believe Singapore is the ultimate playground for families to get out and have some fun under the sun. Whether you’ve got an active toddler, a curious kid or a moody teenager, the city is peppered with a plethora of things to do with children including visiting farms, skydiving indoors and immersing in a digital world. Time to burn that all that energy and let your kids run riot at these family-friendly spots in Singapore.

Changi Jurassic Mile

As you bike down Changi Airport Connector with the fam, keep an eye out for the city’s largest permanent outdoor display of life-sized dinosaurs. Changi Jurassic Mile is home to over 20 different prehistoric, colossal creatures including the tyrannosaurus rex, velociraptors, and parasaurolophus – the tallest standing at about five-metres high. While you explore the grounds, look out for the baby dinos hatching from their massive eggs, and try to spot all nine species along the one-kilometre cycling and jogging path.

Universal Studios Singapore

Located on the resort paradise of Sentosa Island, The Universal Studios in Singapore takes all your favourite movies and creates a magical world for you to enter. Go beyond the screen and experience the technologically riveting Transformers ride, bump and splash along on Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure and be thrilled by the tallest dueling roller coaster in the world, the Battlestar Galactica. Get ready for an action-packed day (or two) full of happy screams and laughter. There are seven zones to cover, so make sure you book a room at one of the nine hotels on the island. This will allow you to split up the attractions into two days or at least give you a convenient place to collapse from that theme park exhaustion.

There are so many fun things to do in Phuket with kids and the whole family. Of course, you could spend your entire holiday on the beach and in the sea with your children, but it would be such a waste not to add some activities to your stay. The family activities listed on this page are great to enjoy with your kids, and they will love sharing some fun with you!

Phuket Trickeye Museum

Phuket Trickeye Museum is a fun attraction not far from the old Phuket Town, and a perfect escape to spend a couple of hours on a rainy day with the family. It’s called a museum, but it’s more of an interactive exhibit where you must blend inside one of the many large paintings on display. The price is a bit high, but if you have kids, you will not regret all the fun poses and funny photos, you will be able to post on your Facebook and Instagram!

Beneath Hong Kong’s modern skyscrapers lies a surprisingly kid-friendly destination. The city holds tremendous sentimental value to me personally. I go back every year because the list of things to do in Hong Kong with kids is expansive — even if you don’t factor in Hong Kong Disneyland. The neat thing about Hong Kong is that you can experience something new every time you visit. For such a tiny destination, it really packs a punch. This list is focused on activities that one can practically experience on a typical Hong Kong family vacation.

Hong Kong Disneyland

If you’re short on time, a half-day visit to Hong Kong Disneyland is still worth it. If you’re coming during the summer months and would like to skip the lines, think about booking a 3-hour Disneyland VIP Tour. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (there is one in the park now, too), Hong Kong Disneyland character dining, and Disney dim sum all take place at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, which is a quick shuttle bus away from the theme park. However, know that you need to reserve these experiences in advance.

Ocean Park in Hong Kong

Right in our backyard, we host one of the best and most-raved-about theme parks in Asia. It’s hard not to brag, but we’ve got rides that will get your heart beating out of your chest like the Hair Raiser, the Flash and the Abyss. Besides that, Ocean Park is also home to giant pandas, An An and Jia Jia, glowing jelly fish, sharks, dolphins, sea lions, and countless other valuable treasures of the ocean. You and your children are given the opportunity to interact with many of these sea creatures and learn about our ecosystem and ways to help preserve what’s left. Many who visit Ocean Park say their highlight is the scenic cable car ride which takes visitors from one side of the park to the other. This park is definitely a hit for parents and kids, alike.

In Cambodia, family comes first. Step inside most Khmer households and you’ll likely find grandparents spending hours cooing and clucking over children. This warm culture makes Cambodia an excellent place to bring the family. Here’s our guide to the most family-friendly activities in the Kingdom of Wonder.

Phnom Tamao Wildlife Park

For animal lovers, this is definitely a wonderful way of interacting with wildlife and helping out a worthy cause. The Free the Bears Program takes place in Phnom Tamao Wildlife Park, just over an hour away from Phnom Penh. All the animals in the sanctuary were rescued from poachers or abusive owners and receive a second chance at a better life. Take a day tour of the facilities and see how the sanctuary cares for the animals, of if you have more time, take part in the week-long volunteering programme.

If there is one place in the Philippines to conveniently bring kids, even little ones, it will be Cebu. Cebu has all the attractions, from beaches to historical sites, as well as modern attractions like waterparks. With all these attractions and things to do in Cebu, it doesn’t matter if you are bringing toddlers or tweens – Cebu has something specifically for them. On top of all these attractions, parents have all the facilities from hotels, restaurants, and even shopping malls to make their vacation convenient and comfortable too. In Cebu, kids will have a great time and when they have a blast, it means a fantastic family trip!

What if your kids are technically no longer kids? For those travelling with older kids, have some adrenaline fun at Kartzone, Cebu’s go-kart venue. As long as your kid can reach the kart’s accelerator, he/she is ready to go. Kartzone is not only for the young, but a great place for the whole family to bond over speed.
