Syrco BASÈ: Conscious Dining in Ubud
Syrco BASÈ is a culinary destination in Ubud built around food, people, place and curiosity. It is an experience that goes beyond dining, connecting the kitchen, regenerative garden, bar, shop and KU Culinary Atelier (the chef’s counter) through a shared philosophy of Traceability, Nature and Transparency.

Even the name BASÈ reflects this idea. In Balinese, basè can refer to both language and seasoning. For Syrco BASÈ, food is a language that communicates through flavours, ingredients, traditions, techniques and the people behind them. Seasoning, meanwhile, gives food its character, depth and identity.
At the heart of the experience is a regenerative garden, connecting the restaurant directly to the landscape around it. Ingredients are grown, harvested and used with an awareness of where they come from, while Syrco BASÈ works closely with local farmers, fishermen, growers, artisans and craftspeople across Bali. We call them our Bali Heroes, recognising the people behind the ingredients, traditions and craftsmanship that make the experience possible.

The cuisine follows a simple principle: local products, local flavours and a Western approach. European techniques meet Indonesian ingredients and traditions, not to replace them, but to explore them from a different perspective.
This is conscious dining at Syrco BASÈ: eating with curiosity, understanding where things come from, and recognising the people and stories behind every plate.
